Environment Minister John Griffiths has annioubnce that the Welsh Government will spend £47m on flood and coastal erosion risk management during the coming financial year:
  • Swansea Vale which would receive  £6.7 million for a scheme that would protect 290 businesses and homes.
  • Ystradgynlais which would receive £2.5 million for a scheme that would protect  244 homes and businesses
  • Fairbourne which would receive  £5.8 million for a scheme that would protect 420 homes and businesses
  • Pontarddulais which would receive  £3 million for a scheme that would protect  246 homes and businesses
  • Coldbrook which would receive £1 million for a scheme that would protect  104 properties
  • Corwen would receive £2.1 million for a scheme that would protect around 100 homes.
